A recently opened addition is Malaysian and Chinese street food at Madam Woo, where owner and celebrity chef Josh Emett is often on hand to ensure everything is running smoothly and to chat with diners.
Reminiscent of Melbourne's outdoor eating laneways Fortieth & Hurstmere is a collection of eateries and coffee outlets. Delicious, quick, and guilt-free, Bird on a Wire offers free range rotisserie chicken and an array of salads and sandwiches. Bring your family and friends and try the award-winning woodfired pizzas from Dante's Pizzeria, some scrumptious traditional Colombian barbecue from El Humero, or the fresh and personalised poke bowls from Poké Poké. Grab a burger and an old-fashioned milk shake from Burger Burger or stop by Glass Sushi Boutique for sushi that looks so good, you won't want to eat it!
After your meal, wander down Hurstmere Rd a few metres to enjoy a late coffee and a sweet treat at the cozy House of Chocolate.
On the other side of Hurstmere Road, towards the beach, the stylish Commons bar and restaurant opens out onto a spacious leafy outdoor bar area and is a popular choice to have a drink and dine, as are neighbouring Mexico restaurant, and Zomer Cafe and Beach Club.
With sweeping views of Takapuna Beach and out to Rangitoto Island 'Main Beach Takapuna's' selection of restaurants and bars cater for all tastes, enjoy a craft beer at Franc's, Regatta's relaxed bistro dining or modern Japanese at Tokyo Bay.
