Bruce Mason Centre: Kumeu Vintage Brass

Comprised of dozens of experienced brass musicians who have played in over 85 brass bands in New Zealand and overseas, Kumeu Vintage Brass returns to the Bruce Mason Centre for a concert of toe-tapping, sing-a-long classics in Morning Melodies Memories. Takapuna Beach Cup - Waka Ama

The Takapuna Beach Cup is New Zealand’s Premier Outrigger Festival, which attracts teams from throughout New Zealand and the International circuit. The event is an exciting and challenging 3 days and is held annually in mid-February. The event takes place at one of Auckland’s best beaches, Takapuna Beach and the racecourses are set on the stunning waters of the Hauraki Gulf. As per Auckland Council and Government requirements, the Takapuna Beach Cup 2022 will be a My Vaccine Pass event for all attendees (including spectators, paddlers, coaches, managers, boat crew, volunteers, etc). The event will only be able to be run at COVID Protection Framework - Orange or Green.

Bruce Mason Centre: The Seasons

German-born British composer Max Richter invites us on a journey through his reimagined landscape of Vivaldi's pictorial masterpiece The Four Seasons. "The Four Seasons is something we all carry around with us," says Richter, "It's just everywhere. This project is about reclaiming this music for me personally, by getting inside it and rediscovering it - and taking a new path through a well-known landscape." Dancers from inclusive dance company Jolt join together with musicians of the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra to create an energetic and evocative performance. Led by acclaimed violinist Martin Riseley, this event is a joyous and affirming celebration of movement, music and life. This show is part of the Auckland Arts Festival 2022.
