We all have a role to play in helping our city get back on its feet. Our city and town centres, our local economies, need support. We’re all learning to navigate the uncertainty of COVID, but don’t underestimate how important you are in helping keep businesses alive.
If you can, and if it is safe for you to do so, it is time to make a move. Whether it’s working from the office a bit more, ordering that morning coffee, indulging in some retail therapy, getting your locks styled, picking up takeaways for lunch, a team morning tea, or after-work drinks – all of this fuels the local economy. Right now, with Omicron surging and many in home isolation, these small business transactions aren’t happening as much, and our businesses are at risk, in the places we all know and love.
Retail, Tourism, Events, Personal Services, and the Fitness sectors are all suffering. And hospitality in Auckland has been one of the hardest hit of all.
To keep local businesses thriving, if you’re COVID-free, and able to, think about heading back to the office, or getting out and about a bit more. Your contribution really counts.
This a joint initiative by the following central Auckland business districts.
