Hope for Hollie: Yoga Fundraiser

Hollie needs our help. That’s why we’re going to have a yoga fundraiser at Campbells Bay School and all proceeds will be donated to Hollie.

IMPORTANT EVENT UPDATE

Initially we had hoped to run 6 yoga classes during November and we had the potential to raise almost $11,000 but the biggest barrier was promoting three events in three weeks. Regretfully this has been reduced to 1 event which will be held on Saturday 28th November.

A BIT ABOUT HOLLIE! 7 year-old Hollie is from Torbay (Auckland’s North Shore) and has undergone intensive cancer treatment for 2 years. There are no further treatments available in NZ and the only next step is a drug trial in Spain which will cost the family a devastating $400,000. They have a huge target to hit in a short space of time but with the help and support of our wonderful community, we know we can come together to help give Hollie this shot at the future she so deserves.

That’s why on Saturday 28th November we’re hosting a yoga class at Campbell’s Bay School and all proceeds will be donated to Hollie’s Give a Little page.

Encore Theatre Collective is proud to present a dazzling new production of Seussical The Musical, based on the immortal works of Dr Seuss. Seussical brings to life many infamous and well-loved Dr Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, Mayzie La Bird and, of course, the Cat in the Hat. These characters and stories weave together in a whimsical and wacky musical extravaganza, played out against an uplifting score, and highlighting the show’s universal messages of love and acceptance – reminding us all that “a person’s a person, no matter how small.”

Since launching in 2019, Encore Theatre Collective has made an incredible mark on the Auckland theatre scene and redefined the standard of youth theatre in New Zealand. Hot on the heels of their sold-out season of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, the June season of Seussical features 120 of the country’s finest young talent, ranging in age from 9-23.
