This crowd pleaser and returning favourite are back to rouse you with songs from across a range of musical genres. Based in Panmure and formed in 1864, The Royal NZ Artillery Band is the oldest military band in New Zealand and was part of the New Zealand Defence Force until the Reserve Bands were disestablished in 2012. However, it has battled on as a volunteer band, re-affiliated to 16th Field Regiment RNZ Artillery, and is happily in good shape, performing a very busy and varied schedule each year throughout Greater Auckland and beyond. Auckland Live Morning Melodies is regarded as one of their major annual engagements, where they play a popular and entertaining programme, ranging from military and light classical to musicals and showbiz. This performance is part of the Auckland Live Morning Melodies 2025 season. In its 24th year, this much-loved monthly concert series features a fantastic line-up of brass bands, jazz ensembles, and more. Now in its 29th year, NZ Sculpture OnShore features more than 120 spectacular, quirky and thought-provoking works by emerging and established artists from all over New Zealand.
