Takapuna Library: Reflections on the Shore – A celebratory re-unveiling

Join us as we celebrate the official re-unveiling of Reflections on the Shore, the extraordinary textile artwork created by local artist and author Priscilla Lowry at Takapuna Library.

Ten years after its original unveiling, this much-loved artwork has been rehung at a new viewing height, making it possible to appreciate the intricate details, local stories, landmarks, landscapes, and literary connections woven throughout the piece.
Our theme for the afternoon is “Looking Closer, Finding Connection” as we celebrate both the artwork and the community stories it brings together.

Copies of Priscilla Lowry’s books will be available for purchase on the day:
