Promotion Terms & Conditions

I Love Takapuna - Promotion Terms and Conditions:

  1. General
    1. By participating in this Competition, you confirm that you accept and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
    2. The Promoter is the Takapuna Beach Business Association, trading as “I Love Takapuna” (hereafter “TBBA”), located at 15 Huron Street (Level 2, Gallagher Insurance), Takapuna.
    3. The Sponsors are TBBA, House of Travel Takapuna, Capricorn Coast, Air New Zealand, Eco Certified Destination Ecotourism, and Shore City Shopping Centre.
    4. The Competition is called “I Love Takapuna – Shop & Win”.
    5. The Promotional Period is 12:01am Monday 1 June 2026 to 11:59pm Friday 31 July 2026.
    6. Information on prizes and how to enter form part of these Terms and Conditions of entry.
    7. The Promotion is open to New Zealand residents only.
    8. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older.
    9. Entry into the competition is deemed confirmation that the entrant has the necessary authority to enter the Promotion.
  2. How to Enter
    1. To enter the Competition, you must make a purchase of at least NZD $20 at any participating retailer or business in Takapuna.
    2. Only one entry is permitted per qualifying transaction above $20 in value.
    3. You must complete all required fields on the online or physical entry form to successfully enter.
    4. Valid contact details including your full name, email address, phone number, and store of purchase must be provided at the time of entry.
    5. Proof of purchase must be retained by the entrant and must be provided to the TBBA to redeem any prize. Failure to provide proof of purchase may render the entry invalid and a replacement winner may be drawn.
    6. Entrants may enter multiple times using separate qualifying transactions and unique entry codes.
    7. Entries must be submitted through the official online entry form or official printed entry form to be considered valid.
    8. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, submits an entry not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, or engages in fraudulent, misleading or deceptive conduct.
  3. Draw & Winner Notification
    1. Winners will be selected by random electronic draw from all valid eligible entries received during the Promotional Period.
    2. The draw will take place at the offices of the Takapuna Beach Business Association or another location nominated by the Promoter.
    3. Prize winners will be drawn on or before Monday 10 August 2026.
    4. Winners will be notified by telephone and/or email.
    5. If a winner cannot be contacted within three working days, the Promoter reserves the right to redraw the prize.
    6. The Promoter’s decision is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.
    7. Previous prize winners will be excluded from subsequent prize draws to ensure multiple individual winners.
  4. Eligibility Restrictions
    1. This Competition is intended to promote Takapuna to members of the general public.
    2. Owners, managers, employees, and contractors of TBBA are not eligible to enter.
    3. Employees, owners, and managers of participating businesses may not enter using purchases made from their own business but may enter using purchases from another participating business.
    4. Employees of House of Travel Takapuna, Air New Zealand, prize suppliers, and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
  5. Main Prize
    1. The main prize consists of:
      • Return economy flights for two adults with Air New Zealand and/or its Australian airline partners.
      • 4 nights accommodation in Yeppoon on the Capricorn Coast.
      • Free access to the Yeppoon Lagoon.
      • A self-guided tour of High Valley Dawn Permaculture Farm.
      • Entry to Cooberrie Park Wildlife Sanctuary.
      • Entry to Koorana Crocodile Farm daily farm tour.
      • 2 nights accommodation on Great Keppel Island at Great Keppel Island Hideaway.
      • A day cruise with Freedom Fast Cats.
      • A beach drop-off with Keppel Dive & Water Sports.
      • Return ferry transfers to Great Keppel Island with Keppel Konnections.
      • 1 night accommodation at Castle Rock Farm, Byfield.
      • A guided buggy tour at Castle Rock Farm.
      • Cathedral Cave Tour at the Capricorn Caves.
      • 7 days standard car hire.
  6. Prize Conditions
    1. Prize is for two adults unless otherwise stated.
    2. Any upgrades, additional guests, meals, travel insurance, spending money, visas, passports, taxes, or other incidental expenses are the sole responsibility of the winner.
    3. The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other goods or services.
    4. The prize must be booked through House of Travel Takapuna.
    5. All bookings must be made by a licensed House of Travel consultant.
    6. Travel components must be booked by 31 October 2026.
    7. Travel is subject to supplier availability and blackout periods may apply.
    8. Once confirmed, bookings cannot be amended unless permitted by the relevant supplier and any applicable fees will be the responsibility of the winner.
    9. If the winner is unable to travel, the prize will be forfeited.
    10. Each traveller must hold a valid passport with at least six months validity beyond the intended period of travel.
    11. All visas, entry permits, health documentation, and travel requirements are the sole responsibility of the travellers.
    12. Whilst all information is correct at the time of publication, components of the prize may be amended or substituted with comparable alternatives due to circumstances outside the Promoter’s reasonable control.
    13. The Promoter and Sponsors make no representation regarding the suitability, safety, or availability of any destination, supplier, or experience.
    14. The winner accepts the prize entirely at their own risk.
  7. Car Hire Conditions
    1. Driver(s) must meet all car hire provider requirements including valid driver licence, credit card, and minimum age conditions.
    2. Fuel, tolls, traffic infringements, bond requirements, and optional insurance upgrades are not included.
  8. Other Prizes
    1. Two individual winners will each receive $500 Shore City Shopping Centre vouchers.
      • Voucher use is subject to Shore City Shopping Centre’s individual terms and conditions.
    2. Five individual winners will each receive one night’s accommodation at The Spencer Hotel, Takapuna.
      • Voucher use is subject to The Spencer Hotel’s individual terms and conditions.
    3. One winner will receive restaurant vouchers to the value of $200 redeemable at a current full TBBA member restaurant in Takapuna.
    4. One winner will receive café vouchers to the value of $100 redeemable at a current full TBBA member café in Takapuna.
    5. Bonus vouchers and prizes may be awarded during the Promotional Period at the Promoter’s discretion.
    6. The Promoter and Sponsors take no responsibility for lost, stolen, expired, or damaged vouchers once issued.
  9. Publicity & Marketing
    1. By entering the Competition, entrants consent to the Promoter and Sponsors using their personal information for competition administration, winner notification, and marketing communications.
    2. Winners agree to participate in reasonable publicity, photography, filming, social media activity, and promotional activity without compensation.
    3. The Promoter and Sponsors may use winners’ names, likenesses, images, and suburb/city of residence for promotional purposes.
  10. Privacy
    1. Any personal information collected as part of this Competition will be held and managed in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.

    3. Entrants have the right to access and correct their personal information.
    4. Personal information will only be used by the Promoter and Sponsors for purposes connected with this Competition and related marketing communications
  11. Liability & Promoter Rights
    1. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes, or modifies any consumer guarantees or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under New Zealand law.
    2. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter, Sponsors, and prize suppliers shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss arising from participation in the Promotion or use of the prize.
    3. The Promoter, Sponsors, and prize suppliers accept no responsibility for lost, late, incomplete, corrupted, misdirected, or invalid entries.
    4. The Promoter, Sponsors, and prize suppliers are not liable for any personal injury, loss, damage, expense, delay, cancellation, or disruption suffered in connection with the Competition or the use of any prize except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
    5. If the Promotion is unable to run as planned for reasons beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, including but not limited to technical failures, natural disasters, pandemics, industrial disputes, government restrictions, or force majeure events, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend, modify, or terminate the Competition.
    6. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions where reasonably necessary for administrative, operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.
    7. If a winner does not accept these Terms and Conditions, the prize will be forfeited.
    8. The Promoter recommends all winners obtain comprehensive travel insurance.
    9. Entry into the Competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
