Join with us to celebrate the newest entry to the annual public holiday calendar, Matariki. This market will feature a boutique, curated offering of market stalls from food to goods and products, all with a distinct Kiwi and Matariki theme.

Enjoy some wonderful music and some performances while you browse the market stalls, and take part in some of the free workshops throughout the day – learn about and paint the nine stars of Matariki, create your own Matariki star, and so much more!

Whilst Matariki traditionally serves as an indication of the Maori New Year, it represents so much more. You may not know this but the Nine Stars all signify something unique and special – symbolizing so much more than just a celestial body.
