First Heartbeats Heart Education and Support Group

02 April 2020 , 10.00

Heartbeats - Sharing the journey...

"A truly shared journey is one taken with those who are on the same path."

Heartbeats is a community-based heart education and cardiac support group for people who have high blood pressure, coronary artery disease, heart failure, atrial fibrillation or abnormal heart function. We welcome all family/whanau members and respect diversity.

Heartbeats is a first-of-its-kind, community initiative that is supported by the Waitemata DHB Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit and the Heart Foundation.

The objective of the group is to:

  • provide better understanding of heart disease.
  • help each other and families deal with a life-changing heart event.
  • share personal concerns, insights and solutions.

We believe that everyone can benefit and learn by sharing individual experiences and knowledge with others who have had similar life-changing events.

Next Meeting: Thursday, 2nd April at 10:00am

Where: Mary Thomas Centre, 3 Gibbons Rd, Takapuna (behind the Library)

Heartbeats meets on the first Thursday of every month.

Note: In our consideration of the current sensible controls for the Covid-19 virus, chairs for participants will be set 1-2m apart and hand sanitizer will be available. Face masks may be available depending on supply.
