Elizabeth Barton is an artist and poet from New Zealand.
She moved to the UK in 1985 where she pursued a career in art and illustration, exhibiting with other fine artists in London’s West End and working freelance for publishers like Hodder & Stoughton and Penguin. On her return to New Zealand in 2013, she settled in Te Aroha and began her foray into poetry, which has become a mythic journey she never imagined possible.
She has two poetry collections published, including Mirrored Time which won the White Label Cinq in 2020 with Hedgehog Poetry Press, and is about to see a third collection in print, Auroral, by a new publisher in the US with the intriguing name Naked Cat Literature.
Elizabeth has established her own studio in Te Aroha, where she enjoys a unique creative hub showcasing her art and poetry books.
