Why not explore Takapuna with the kids?

The classic walk along the beach always provides hours of entertainment from sandcastle building to saying hello to the local dogs out for their own walks!

Grab a coffee or some take-away from one our local eateries and cafes, sit back and relax while the kids play and enjoy our fantastic beachside playground.

Don't forget, there is a community piano available for anyone to play! Find it in the container at 38 Hurstmere for those budding musicians, and make sure you visit our "Navigation" Owl in Hurstmere Green!

Make your way down to Lake Pupuke with a picnic or a coffee, and say hello to their resident colonies of ducks and geese!

If a bit of retail therapy is what you're after, or it's some new bits to add to the kids wardrobes you're needing, Takapuna has it all! Or go for a walk down around Takapuna and visit shops like Mummum or the new pop-up Minti!

There are also fun places to take the kids if you're after sweet treats or a good coffee! Takapuna is the proud home to the likes of KiwiYo, Movenpick, House of Chocolate and the Old Lolly Shop (check out their Make your own Lollypop classes and demonstrations!).
